  • Biography

Renee commenced her PhD in 2023, focusing on the ways in which digital technologies are mobilised by feminist movements to access and influence the multilateral system. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing authoritarianism and populism, push back on women's rights and civil society, she seeks to bring practitioner perspectives from activists and diplomats working against these trends.

Renee holds a Master of Arts (Women's Studies) from Flinders University, a Masters in Public Policy and Management from Monash University and Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of International Relations from La Trobe University. Renee has worked with the UNDP, Australian Public Service, development organisations and academia.
